ACCA - FOUNDATION IN ACCOUNTANCY (FIA)

Perfect pathway for students as young as 16 years old, including SPM graduates, to kick-start a professional accounting career and will receive the ACCA Diploma in Accounting & Business with a quick transition to ACCA Stage 2 upon completion.

Tutorial sessions: 340 hours [FA1+FA2 (80 hours); MA1+MA2 (80 hours);
180 hours (60 hours per paper) for FBT, FMA, & FFA]

ACCA ACCELERATE PROGRAMME (STUDENTS)/
ACCA ACCELERATED PATHWAY (GRADUATES)

For accredited Bachelor of Accounting students, typically in Year 3 or the final year, who wish to do ACCA Final Stage papers concurrently while completing their degree. Also for Bachelor of Accounting graduates who aspired to take up the challenge.

MICPA - CAANZ PROGRAMME

A programme that offers Malaysian Bachelor of Accounting graduates to obtain dual professional qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Malaysia and Chartered Accountant (CA) Australia and New Zealand.

SUBJECT OFFERED: ADVANCED STAGE EXAMINATION (ASE)
1. Business Performance (BP)
2. Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR)
3. Audit and Risk (AR)

Tuition fee: RM1,600 per paper
Tutorial sessions: 80 hours per paper
Mode of learning: Online class

CIMA - STRATEGIC CASE STUDY (SCS) EXAMINATION

Aspiring Malaysian Bachelor of Accounting graduates can accelerate their path to becoming a Chartered Management Accountant by taking the CIMA SCS Exam. Passing the SCS marks the completion of the CIMA qualification.

It is an assessment that integrates knowledge from the Strategic Level papers including:
1. Strategic Management (E3)
2. Risk Management (P3)
3. Financial Strategy (F3)

SUBJECT OFFERED: CIMA STRATEGIC CASE STUDY (SCS) PAPER

Tuition fee: RM2,300
Tutorial sessions: 90 hours

Pathways

ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (FIA)

It is an entry-level qualification designed for individuals aspiring to build a career in accountancy and finance. It provides a strong foundation and serves as a pathway to the ACCA Qualification.

ACCA FIA exams include:

  • FA1: Recording Financial Transactions
  • MA1: Management Information
  • FA2: Maintaining Financial Records
  • MA2: Managing Costs and Finance
  • FBT: Business and Technology (F1 equivalent)
  • FMA: Management Accounting (F2 equivalent)
  • FFA: Financial Accounting (F3 equivalent)

Upon completing the FIA and earning the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business, students can directly transition into the ACCA Applied Skills level (ACCA Stage 2), skipping the Applied Knowledge (ACCA Stage 1) exams.

ACCA Accelerate Programme (Students)

ACCA Accelerated Pathway (Graduates)

The ACCA Accelerate program allows Bachelor of Accounting students (normally Year 3 or final students) to start taking ACCA Stage 3 papers while finishing their degree concurrently. They are allowed to start taking the professional-level papers as if they had already completed their degree altogether and assumed an exemption for the first 9 papers.

Accredited Bachelor of Accounting degree graduates are eligible to follow the ACCA Accelerated Pathway and begin their ACCA Stage 3 Strategic Professional level.

ACCA Stage 3 Strategic Professional Level stage comprises four papers:

  • Two compulsory papers:
    • Strategic Business Leader (SBL)
    • Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
  • Two optional papers (choose from four):
    • Advanced Financial Management (AFM)
    • Advanced Performance Management (APM)
    • Advanced Taxation (ATX)
    • Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA)

MICPA - CAANZ Programme

This programme is a joint qualification pathway offered by the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). It is designed for graduates of accredited Bachelor of Accounting degrees. 

Graduates from an accredited Bachelor of Accounting program may qualify for exemptions from the Professional Stage Examination and directly proceed to the Advanced Stage Examination (ASE).

MICPA ASE exams include: 7 CORE papers and 1 ELECTIVE as shown.

CIMA A-Star Programme

Malaysia’s CIMA A-Star Programme does require applicants to have graduated within the past five years or less to be eligible. This programme is designed for recent high-achieving graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent, holding a CGPA of 3.5 and above. It offers a fast-track pathway allowing participants to directly take the Strategic Case Study (SCS) exam and potentially become a CIMA affiliate upon successful completion.

The programme is particularly advantageous for those aiming to advance their careers quickly in global management accounting.

CIMA CFO Programme

CIMA CFO Programme is available to participants in Malaysia and is tailored for experienced professionals, such as Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) or finance leaders, who aim to achieve CIMA qualification through a fast-track route, allowing participants to directly take the Strategic Case Study (SCS) exam, after which they can apply for the CGMA designation and CIMA membership​

Participants of the CIMA CFO Programme do not strictly need to have a bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting. 

This pathway is designed for experienced professionals, typically at the C-level or with senior management experience and have significant experience in finance or business functions. It involves:

  1. A four-day intensive workshop.
  2. Completing the SCS exam.
  3. Meeting the practical experience requirements.
